At Maumelle High School, and all across Pulaski County Special School District, teachers are resigning left and right due to the amount of stress that teaching during a pandemic is causing them. One of the biggest suggestions from teachers, students, and community members is bringing back a piece of the schedule from last school year-- early dismissal on Wednesdays. This will allow teachers more time to prepare for the initiatives in PCSSD, like small group instruction, PBIS, and PLCs. This will also allow students more time with their clubs, sports, jobs, community service, and other extra curricular activities in the community. We plan to bring this petition to the PCSSD School Board to show them that this is wanted and needed across PCSSD.
