Puerto Rican March on Washington
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
After 119 years of being a U.S. territory, the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico has the ability to survive on its own as an independent nation. We believe that on Puerto Rico and among the 10 million Puerto Ricans on earth, the island has the ability and resources to self govern, self manage and exhibit the fiscal responsibility to be a stable and prosperous nation. Additionally, we Puerto Ricans do not wish to disappear from the face of the earth. We are proud of our history and our unique culture that make our identity irreconcilable to assimilation into Anglophone America. We our own people and wish to remain Puerto Rican, separate, independent and free.
On Saturday, October 7, 2017, more than one million Puerto Ricans and our allies will march in Washington DC to the steps of the U.S. Capitol to demand that the United States Congress release Puerto Rico from its colonial status so it may exist as a free and independent nation. We will also March on Washington to ensure that the Puerto Rican people will not become extinct and will continue to survive as a separate people sharing their gifts with the world and humanity.
