Boitumelo André Mphuthi started this petition to public servants and

Eskom for the past 26 years of freedom in South Africa has operated with absolute autonomy and as a result this resulted in the repugnant corruption that took and still takes place within the power utility knowing that government will always come to their rescue when they need bailing. Their debt has grossed to R488 billion and with the National Treasury no longer willing to help them out, the finance minister is using his influence in the PIC in an attempt to bail out Eskom, most of the assets managed by the PIC come from their main client, the GEPF (Government Employees Pension Fund) which receives its funds from the approximately 2.1 million civil servants-our parents, sisters and brothers who work for the government. It is unfair that their pension funds be used to bail out Eskom from their mismanagement of funds/corruption problem. Please sign this petition to protect the pensions of our mothers, fathers, sisters and brother who work for the Government. We call on the Supreme Court of Appeals and the Constitutional Court of South Africa to prevent this unconstitutional and unfair action to the civil servants of South Africa by the Finance Ministry. I call on especially all people who are employed by the government to sign this petition.
