These brave men and women have given up their time to protect others as well as risking their own lives.

They deserve this recognition above and beyond anyone else.

Honoring the firefighters in this way, is a way all Australians can thank them - they have earned this right, this year.  

This will also honor the ultimate sacrifice of the firefighters who lost their lives this year and the injured firefighters.
