I am signing this because I never really knew or felt invited into these public lands until I moved to the Northwest and was lucky enough to have some wonderful people invite me, to make it a safe and welcoming space. We need to be more intentional about the way we invite people to unknown or different environments they have not been encouraged to explore before.

Our national parks, monuments, forests and other public lands must have diverse support to survive the threats they face now and in the future. We must make sure they are open and accessible to ALL the people.

We must preserve our national parks and public lands for nature conservancy. The Next 100 Coalition represents all people and communities in a stand for civil rights and environmental justice while protecting public lands. That is why I support this coalition.

What makes the United States great now is the diversity of peoples and cultures. We need to encourage these diverse people and cultures to visit our National Parks and learn about our collective heritage.
