I want to have the wedding I have always dreamed of and worked so hard to plan/pay for. It is not fair that you can step right outside this county and there are no restrictions and not everyone follows the same guidelines which makes it nearly impossible to plan around. Why should venues have to operate under different guidelines than restaurants and bars, it makes no sense. This is not only destroying peoples personal lives and the memories that last a lifetime, but also businesses livelihood that they will never be able to bounce back from. We can't live this way forever.

I personally have witnessed what these brides and grooms are going through. They are very frustrated, angry and anxious on whether they can even hold their wedding when planned. Numerous of my customers have postponed their wedding at least once and now possibly twice. The couples also have lost money at some venues because the venue has no options for them to reschedule or have decided at the last minute that they are not holding any weddings this year.
They have spent months/years planning their wedding to have it delayed.
I know of numerous couples who are seeking venues outside of Dane County to hold their wedding. We need to keep the revenue in our area.
It has hit my business hard since I have ordered attire that I need to pay for but I am not getting the payments due to delays. I also do not have storage space to hold on to customers merchandise until it is needed. As a retired RN I am well aware of the effects of Covid-19. If guests who are invited to these weddings chose to attend or not is their business but don't take the wind out of the couples sails.

I am a Madison wedding venue and this is going to destroy all of this if it keeps up
