I would like to start a petition in light of the Halyna Hutchins shooting that requires all actors and actresses who use firearms in movies and television to pass a mandatory firearms test to ensure that everyone who will be using the firearms is well prepared and has an in depth knowledge of what they are using to decrease the chances of another senseless negligent death such as the most recent one and the Brandon Lee death. I feel that these very well could have been avoided providing the people involved knew more about what they were using and proper techniques for checking the weapon. As a gun rights activist I fully believe in the second amendment however I also feel people who use firearms should have a good knowledge of what they are using before they do.
