A backyard Breeder is an amateur animal breeder whose breeding is considered substandard, with little or misguided effort towards ethical, selective breeding. Backyard breeding is terrible because the breeder chooses profit over animal welfare, and their animals typically do not receive proper veterinary care, which can cause future health problems. These puppies can carry parvovirus, which had a high death rate in puppies and can spread to other animals taking their lives. You can avoid getting a puppy from a backyard breeder looking for trusted breeders who have many references and have genetic health testing for their dogs. By not buying puppies from these backyard breeders and making more strict laws, they will be forced to stop.
