Three students at Pequannock Township High School, Jakub Ligas, Caden Chase, and Jovan Vinas are committed to play hockey for the West Milford - Pequannock Hockey team. Their athletic department does not want to let them play.

The boys have their physical paperwork submitted as well as having financially committed by buying their gear.  The coaches are happy to have them join since they need the players. Even if the school doctor approves the boys to play they are not being allowed to join. There is about 3 months left of the season and to play they need a minimum of 6 practices to participate in games, this would take roughly two weeks. 

The JV Hockey team only has 8 players and they are in need of more. These three boys volunteered to join the team to bolster their numbers. They are dedicated to the sport and have spent large amounts of money for their gear.

There is virtually no reason to keep them from playing since they have their paperwork submitted, coach approval, and full gear.

Help them join the hockey community by signing the petition and showing support to them and the WMPQ Hockey Team.
