Bishopton footpath adoption
This petition had 60 supporters
The two paths leading from Greenock road to Churchill Drive appear to be unadopted by Renfrewshire council and as such no one is shouldering the responsibility of upkeep.
These two paths are prone to flooding and it is not unusual to be faced with 10M of water that is 5CM or more deep. These are the only 2 paths at this end of the housing and by the time people realise the flooding it is too late. The only action is a 180 degree turnaround to a different path, a long detour, or a paddle in this flooded path with the result of a ruined pair of shoes.
We see many elderly people on sticks\frames, Mothers with prams and general public having to run this gauntlet.
The council will do nothing because the paths are not adopted. So this petition is to urge the council to recognise how vital these paths are and to adopt them to allow corrective action to stop these paths flooding.
The grassland and borders are adpoted and get cut\tended, so please sign this petition to make the council complete the adoption and end the flooding we all face
