Dear Fellow Port St. Lucie Residents,

I am requesting that we stand together in support of our local Volunteer Ambulance Service that currently provides non-emergency medical transportation to local hospitals, doctor’s offices, and other appointments, etc. They provide and maintain a large supply of medical equipment such as, crutches, wheelchairs, canes, walkers and shower chairs, to loan out during times of recovery. Also attending public functions such as, fairs, carnivals, triathlons, etc. These aforementioned services are 100% free, NO insurance required, NO billing, and NO dreading charges, but receiving just absolute genuine care.

These men and women have voluntarily stood by our side for past 41 years and now need us to stand by them and have a voice.  With the economic effect that COVID 19 has had on our community having this free service is a vital part of transportation and care for those of us who need medical assistance.

At present our beloved Volunteers are one of the very last two free ambulance services left in the state of Florida and are at risk of being shut down while in such stressful times, which would cause a disastrous consequence for those of us who are in such desperate need of these services.
