PSG Students Council started this petition to PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu (Dean) and

The MBBS Interns of PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu are being paid a stipend of Rs 2600 / Month instead of the proposed Rs 18000 / Month, with the alleged reason of charging the remaining Rs 15400 / Month, for the purpose of Compulsory Hostel Accomodation charges. But no receipt has been given against the amount for the provided reason. The Mess charges are optional at Rs 54000 / Year (if students wants hostel food) or else students can have food outside at own charges. Also Interns are compulsorily requested to open new account at Central Bank of India situated in the PSG Institutions Campus for depositing this stipend amount, also it is informed that no other bank accounts are accepted for stipend purpose. We also want to maintain a minimum balance of Rs 2000 in this account unnecessarily. The issue persist here for more than 5 Years, and the proposed stipend amounts are not being paid correctly to the students. Also we couldn't get this issue solved at Institutions as there are internal politics and faculties target the students with extensions and insults during the internship period. MBBS is 5 and 1/2 Year long course and we are exhausted in this curriculum. While our friends in other courses start earning atleast we request the allotted stipend so that we can manage our own expenses and it's difficult to still depend fully on the family. We raised this petition to make sure the concerned authorities know about the issue and make necessary actions so that we can get the allotted stipend in proper time.

All CRRIs and Students who completed Internship at PSG IMSR help sign this petition. CBI Bank Passbook and E-statement can be used as evidence.

Thank You..
