Replacing full-time staff with temporary staff seems to put economics before the good of staff or students and is not in keeping with how I think Catholic ethos might be.

As someone who teaches Communication at a Catholic University, let me say this is a bad idea. Shows the provost does not understand the discipline at all. Could be devastating for student future employment as well.

People have invested a lot of time and money to get a degree in this field and to graduate with a ton of debt with the major they didn’t want is absurd. It makes NO sense whatsoever.

Students already signed up for this major have spent thousands of dollars in their tuition to have this major on their degree. Students shouldn't be in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt for a major they didn't sign up for!!
