Having lived in Mount Martha for 14y, we have never had workable reception for mobile phones. Often get SOS or Emergency calls only & can virtually never make/receive calls on mobiles. We ask people to use our landline, but most forget (or their phones select mobile by default) and we miss many calls, some critical family calls.
Telstra & Optus have admitted verbally that we have a 'black zone' in our area & only a new tower can remedy this. A technician suggested we petition the Telcos to try & 'tweak' the existing towers to provide us with better reception (e.g. by altering signal direction).
This petition is for Telcos & the ombudsman to get some action on this matter, it's been going on too long & puts peoples health & well-being at risk, as well as the inconvenience & confusion in being contacted by others.
