None of us can know when we or someone we know may need the therapy that such a pool makes possible. This is a community resource that every community should have. The most economical thing to do is to maintain such an existing resource instead of creating a situation where there will be delays, uncertainty and greater expense before the resource can be recreated.

When I was pregnant, I used this pool for the prenatal water aerobics class. Before I used the pool myself, I was sending my pregnant patients there. After the birth of my child, I have encouraged even more patients to go. The water gives a mental and physical reprieve for an hour each week. This means the world in pregnancy. Also, as a woman of color, the benefit of staying fit decreased my 5X increased risk of morbidity and mortality in labor. This is a resource, that as a physician, I did not have for my patients in residency. PLEASE DO NOT take this away.

This pool is in our neighborhood and used by many patients. Please don't close it. Thank you.

As a former aquatics professional I know the benefits of aqua exercise for maintaining health and for rehabilitation. The accessibility of the Providence pool and the (therapeutic) warm water exceed the offerings of other local pools cited as part of their reason for closing. This asset should not be lost. Please reconsider.

I recently had a back injury and in a wheelchair. Using the warm water therapy pool has been a key to help keeping me mobile. There is no other resource like it in the neighborhood. I am dependent on others to give me transportation to go to the pool. Keeping a warm therapy pool in the neighborhood will make a huge difference in allowing me to access it.
