Dan Byron was one of the most selfless, caring individuals you may have ever met. Anyone who met Dan knew he was always good for a laugh, or a round of golf. Dan touched countless lives in his time at Providence College - by caring for others, paying for students’ books anonymously, and always lightening the mood. Unfortunately, Dan passed away recently from a brain tumor. Aside from donating to brain cancer research, I found myself questioning what else could be done to honor him and all the lives he touched. I realized the least he deserves is to be the namesake of the IT Suite/MediaHub in the lower level of Phillips Memorial Library at Providence College.
