Provide Parking Permits For Our Marsden High School Teachers

Provide Parking Permits For Our Marsden High School Teachers
From the end of April, Marsden High school is relocating to Rhodes Street Meadowbank. There is very limited parking available on the surrounding streets and the school infrastructure team have not catered for the teachers with their limited onsite parking within the new development.
The solution provided was that teachers could park in the carpark at Meadowbank soccer fields and that the school would have to fund a bus to bring teachers up and down to the school. This is a terrible solution for our valued teachers who need to carry and bring in equipment and books every day to school.
I would like if the community would support petitioning Ryde Council to provide teachers with parking permits so that they can park on any of the surrounding streets that they can find a park on, as close to the school as possible and not have to travel multiple kilometers to get to school, then park a few kilometers away from the school and have to get a bus to the High School.
The Department of Education should be ashamed of their policy to not provide parking for their teachers and locate schools in unsafe industrial areas when the school was already located in a fantastic safe location already with room to grow.
Please support our plight to provide an option for teachers to park near the school and who selflessly provide education to our children.
