Afghanistan being an endemic country for Eradicating Polio Virus conducts vaccination campaigns frequently throughout the country. Thousands of vulnerable front line workers put their lives in risk and conduct these vaccination campaigns to eradicate Polio virus from the country. However, they are paid a very less amount of compensation against the work they perform. Their lives have been in high risk during these vaccination activities and in the last 6 months the deadly attacks on these field workers have tremendously increased. Despite working in a very critical security situation, they are deprived of life insurance, incident insurance, and proper compensation. Therefore, we plea the United Nations and World Health Organization to provide insurance and good compensation in case any harmful incident occur to these health workers during the vaccination activities.
