Protect Water, Save Life Petition Campaign

Protect Water, Save Life Petition Campaign
Despite the fact that every drop of water is vital, more than 3 million people in the Philippines rely on harmful and unsustainable water sources each year, and 7 million do not have access to adequate sanitation. Despite its economic growth, the Philippines confronts serious water and sanitation difficulties. The country is rapidly urbanizing, and its expanding cities are struggling to provide enough water and sanitation facilities to its users.
In the Philippines, about five million people rely on unsafe and unsustainable water sources, and nine million do not have access to proper sanitation. Acute watery diarrhea was one of the top 10 primary causes of mortality in the Philippines in 2016, affecting over 139 000 people.
Additionally, people are navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, and millions are striving to endure this crisis with an added challenge. They are deprived of life's most essential resource: water. Access to potable water is more important than ever for the health of Filipino families.
With this, we must do better.
To safeguard our water, we must start working and engaging with the community in a transparent approach. We should conserve water since it is nature's most valuable gift. Sign our petition below to urge our officials to take water concerns seriously and assist our ecosystems and preserve water.
The following concerns will be addressed once you sign this petition:
- More than 4 million people die each year as a result of water-related ailments.
- Diseases caused by contaminated water and a lack of clean water are particularly prevalent in developing nations.
- Support for areas in the Philippines who need safe water.
- Water pollution-affected areas in the Philippines.
This petition encourages individuals to save water in order to ensure that clean water is available on the earth in the future. Water shortage has become a major issue in the Philippines and other parts of the world, affecting people's lives in a variety of ways.
This large challenge cannot be handled by one person or a small number of individuals; it is a problem that requires the combined efforts of many people. I ask you all to join me in raising this problem and expressing your support for water conservation.
Your contribution will undoubtedly make a difference. We will have an effect if we work together.
When we protect water, we save life together.
(Note: The petition will be sent to the water.org and pawd.org.ph)
