Why this petition matters

Dear Dublin community,

Facts always matter and the truth always triumphs. President Cherrier and Trustees Gabi Blackman and William Kuo are under vicious attacks once again by a group of people who are desperately trying to unseat them. This time they falsely accused the Trustees of Brown Act violation while voting and adopting district maps back in February. Their supposed crime - putting voters rights before incumbents.

An independent legal counsel engaged by the District has clearly stated in a legal opinion published to the community that there has been no Brown Act violation. They reached the obvious conclusion after a thorough investigation that there is no wrongdoing whatsoever!

Community members have a constitutional right to engage in discussions with their elected Trustees in any form they so choose (via email, phone or text) and this is not only their right but also necessary and beneficial.

It is time for the community to unite, stand up and question this abuse of power by those employed by the district. They have been using their private and public positions to spread false information, rumors and harmful speculation including trying to frame this as East vs West versus what is really about protecting all 71,469 Dublin residents per 2020 census vs 5 elected officials. It is unacceptable for them to indulge in smear campaigns and undermine elected officials who have been elected by the people to bring about positive change.  We urge the district leadership to put an end to this constant bullying and harassment that's damaging and divisive. DUSD needs to take strong action in response to these deplorable acts.

Please sign this petition to let them know enough is enough. Thank you.
