The current government of Sri Lanka, led by President Gotabhaya Rajapakse, is oppressing the people and seriously violating the rule of law.

President Gotabhaya Rajapakse came to power by deceiving the people in a very deceitful manner and since then the prosecution has used his power to remove a number of cases filed against him and his family.

It is the social media activists who have made the general public aware of some of the illegal and oppressive activities that have been and are being carried out since the present government came to power in 2019 and now the government is using state power to suppress them.
