I was just with my cousin and my sister and she asked me « are you scared of dolphins » I said no. She requested we look up some facts about them. After a few minutes of research and long article reading, we noticed a very interesting yet quite disturbing fact. The US navy can technically recruit dolphins. The article precisely states « dolphins are so clever, they’re even USED by the US navy » -bestlifeonline.com. The military from that organization has trained dolphins to retrieve any equipment lost at sea and identify intruders in certain restricted areas. I find that quite offensive. What if you and I wanted to swim in that certain area? You think it is appropriate for the military to hire dolphins to stop us? First, that is slavery because technically you can’t pay dolphins. Well, you can, but, a dolphin cannot adequately use said money to buy the mansion it deserves. Dolphins might be clever but at the end of the day never clever enough to manipulate money. Second, You certainly do not want to be enemies with a military trained dolphin. This has been going on since the 1960s according to national geographic. This is animal abuse and truly unacceptable. That is the exact reason why I have started this petition. Please give us your word on this very important matter in 2022.
