Citizens of Niagara County, and throughout New York State have once again come under attack from Albany for exercising their 2nd Amendment Rights.

In the wake of the evil actions of individuals against defenseless persons in Buffalo, New York State passed 10 new laws that are meant to disarm the citizens of our County and punish the legal & legitimate businesses in the firearms industry.

Shortly after the new laws were passed, the Bruen Opinion handed down from the United States Supreme Court struck down most of the laws limiting and pertaining to Pistol Permits in New York State. This Opinion resulted in the almost immediate push from gun control advocates for more
legislation and resulted in the passage of S.51001 & A.41001 during the Extraordinary Session of the New York State Senate and Assembly.

The New York State Sheriffs’ Association recognized, these are “punitive licensing requirements that aim only to restrain and punish law-abiding citizens who wish to exercise their Second Amendment Rights.”,

We are asking Niagara County, and all other interested Counties to form a coalition to file and participate in litigation against New York State to protect our citizens rights.
