The very last place that should be infected by the "political correctness" virus is a college campus. With political correctness they merely become indoctrination centers producing human beings who are easily controlled and cannot function in the REAL world!

I don't see a problem with some of the BJL's petition, but some of the demands are outrageous. I have no doubt they have good reasons to be doing what they're doing, but that doesn't warrant for a name change because a famous man who did a lot of great things was racist. All presidents had their faults, and A LOT of monuments and buildings would have to be renamed because a minority group is offended by the name of a president and his success without context. And having a place specifically for blacks (not for whites) is counter-productive. I would encourage a multi-cultural center.

Censorship and political correctness have no place on campus - changing and erasing history to pretend bad things didnt happen doesn't help anyone. Acknowledging historical wrongs is the best way to prevent their reoccurrence.

The demands of the BJL are short-sighted and ignorant of WW's achievements in shaping public policy and international affairs, for which he is rightly commemorated

Because having no proof of racism does not prove racism is happening.
