Laura Ceballos started this petition to Councilman Mike Bonin and

Oakwood Park is a culturally rich and diverse park in the Venice Neighborhood. It is the only naturally and open green space left in the Venice/Oakwood Community for our youth to use for recreational purposes. Historically, Oakwood Park has been the central communal area  for all community members to gather and celebrate culturally/community events. The presence of dogs off leash poses a public safety issue for our children and community members. There have been several dog attacks at Oakwood Park. There are already several dog parks in the close proximity area that are accessible for dog owners to take their dogs. Please sign the petition to prohibit dogs at Oakwood Park that are threatening the public safety of our children and community members. Help preserve our only open green space left in the Oakwood Community for our children/ youth and community members to gather, play, and exercise.
