Dear Commissioner Silver 

Congratulations on yet another successful NBA season!

The game continues to grow by leaps and bounds thanks in large part to your steady hand. As I’m sure you are aware, the play in tournament has been a huge success.  Though viewership numbers from last night’s contest between the Clippers of Los Angeles and the Timberwolves of Minnesota have not been released, I assure you will be pleased.

That said, as fans of your league and in light of recent events (namely the Timberwolves securing the 7th seed) we must implore you to protect Ja Morant from himself and more pointedly from number 22 for the Timberwolves, who hails from the West side of Chicago. Remember, Ja is on record stating that he climbs up the chimney because he and this young promising Grizzlies team desires the smoke so badly but number 22’s antics and wild play have no place in today’s game.

As you can see by the large number of loyal fans who have signed this petition, this concern is valid. We thank you in advance for addressing our concern with league officials and look forward to a nice clean playoff series absence of number 22’s reckless hack fouls because (1.) he can’t slide his feet to stay in front of transcendent talent and (2.) still hasn’t learned how to defend with his body without using his hands. Seeing as this isn’t a game of pick up and we can’t kick number 22 out of the gym/park, we look to your leadership in resolving this matter before it becomes an issue.
