Protect Edmonton Parks: No Bikes in Preservation Zones

Sensitive natural areas in Edmonton's river valley face increasing threats. New mountain bike trails are proliferating.

City Ribbon of Green + Mountain Biking FAQ: "Most of the single-track trail network was built by trail users and the City has not had oversight of the construction of these trails, some of which are found in sensitive areas, so we don't know the ecological impact they have had."

For good reason, bikes and new trails are not permitted in Preservation zones — the most precious and fragile natural areas.

The City has allowed this problem to get out of hand. Only the City can stop it.

Change.org sends an email with every signature and comment to Edmonton City Council and officials.
