Living in a small village for 20yrs + l have found that most people choose to live here to enjoy the quiet life and also to enjoy living and being with nature.  In the village where l live, there are many horses, stabled and free, dogs, cats, peacocks, foxes, deer and of course smaller wild creatures such as rabbits and hedgehogs etc .

Nonetheless this small environmentally aware little community seems to be plagued each year with the most awful and upsetting loud fireworks.  Not small domestic ones, with the odd ‘banger’, but bangs that go on for hours which almost replicate explosive repetitive gunfire..  

This is what we now are informed to expect each year, from people who, on Nov 5 wish to entertain!   The village animals and some elderly people are seriously scared witless,    I have  never felt so scared and moved for creatures both domestic and local to our small community.

l love a good firework display, if carried out in a controlled environment, away from wild life, but l do not enjoy the look of fear on the faces of horses, dogs, cats and their kind ..sheer terror would be a better word.

Unfortunately this year in our small community, it was nothing short of horrendous, and which brought about total disharmony, leading to threats and vitriol throughout our usually peaceful village community.

please help stop these type of explosive fireworks being sold to domestic users ..
