Stop rogue cyclists in Prospect Park

Pedestrians in Prospect Park (and all NYC parks) need better protection from rogue cyclists who do not yield at traffic lights and ride on sidewalks. Currently enforcement and signage is limited mainly to Central Park.
New Yorkers' enjoyment of parkland is threatened because no signs explain the traffic laws to cyclists and police do not enforce the laws.
New Yorkers need:
- Clear, big signs explaining bikes must stop at traffic lights, stay off sidewalks and obey speed limits.
- Enforcement of existing traffic laws.
- In Prospect Park, speed bumps or humps, should be studied, especially on the blind hill that bottoms out near Vanderbilt Playground, site of continuing accidents.
Brooklyn’s Prospect Park has a ring road people must cross to get to the bulk of the park. Cyclists use it as a stop-free track. As a result, parents with small children, the elderly, and tourists must dodge cyclists in racing peletons.
The result is frequent near misses, several near-fatal accidents, and a culture of incivility in which physically fit, spandex-clad, male cyclists dominate the park and intimidate everyone else who uses it.
