"Blocks." No one likes the sound of that. Everyone's clamoring to change it. I can hear them outside my window, every night.

People will try to pass off "quinmester" and "pentamester" as viable alternatives. Don't be tempted. These are utterly illogical. "Semester" comes for the Latin for "six months," and "Trimester" comes from the Latin for "three months." Are you trying to say that "quinmesters" and "pentamesters" are five months long? I thought this was a school for kids who love math. Shameful.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that Proofniks are utterly dissatisfied with the name "blocks." May I introduce... Bricks.

What is a block, but a brick in block's clothing? What is a brick, if not a polished block? Not only are bricks the literal foundation of our building, but they are also in our very DNA, "the building bricks of life". And now, the "five brick structure" can pave the yellow brick road to the Emerald City of the mind: education. 

"Quinmesters?" "Pentamesters?" Confusing misnomers. "Brick" has the name recognition we need. 

Also, bricks are a great thing to toss into any conversation. Imagine hearing "only two more bricks to go!" or "everyone knows brick 4 hits the hardest!" 

Let me level with you: we don't need blocks. We need bricks.
