In California, the government has started to amend cash bail. But the struggle isn't over yet! Kamala Harris and Rand Paul are two people fighting for the cause, they are donating $10 million to the reform of cash bail. They've been working together to amend the system. It affects people in poverty and people of color. After paying bail, people in poverty increase the rates of homelessness, lose their jobs, and can lose parental rights over their children if they have any.
