It has come to the attention of some members of ch.o that there has been some sabotage occurring here. *

For your own protection and the protection of those you care about, here are some things to look out for:
--- This person has many ways of manipulating people's emotions and harrassing them, including accusing his own friends of turning against him when they haven't, telling people that their own friends accused them of something that isn't true or that their own friends told him that they had accused him of something,  etc. (verified fact)
-- It has been reported that this person studies the people pages & recruiting pages as well as individual profile pages, reads compliments, browses among friend lists, checks up on who gives gifts to whom *
-- in order to gather info on us for the purpose of manipulating us and for selecting his next targets or "marks". *
--- It has been reported that this person had a second profile page for a very short while (verified fact) which means that this person MAY reappear disguised as someone else.
--- It has been reported that this person conned at least one ch.o member into giving him his own password and username info such that he no longer has control of his own account. *
--- It has been reported that this person ESP likes to target attractive women and prefers to communicate by phone so that there is no record of info sharing or the fact that there was a conversation, much less when it occurred. There is potential for blackmail here so it is advisable to only share things that you want the whole world to see with wanna be boyfriends who you don't know very well yet. *
--- This person also targets avid activists and the friends of these activists. (verified fact) 
--- It has been reported that someone attempted to access a ch.o member's bank account immediately after this ch.o member had given this person some "sensitive" personal info. (verified fact)

While the person who "inspired" this petition is no longer on this site, we still feel that these standard protections are a good idea to establish on change.org.

It has come to the attention of some members of ch.o that there has been some sabotage occurring here. *  These games are undermining ALL of our abilities to fulfill our potentials to create beneficial changes in the world that ALL LIFE so desperately needs if we are to have any future at all.

We need the freedom to be able to listen to any others we choose, think for ourselves and take actions each according to our own lights, without manipulation or bullying from those who may disagree or have other agendas.
Accepting invitations or not is OUR OWN choice to make based on OUR OWN intents, purposes, needs, etc.
The same is true of who we choose to send gifts and compliments to., which invitations we accept, which actions we participate in, which blogs we comment on, etc..    

"The ability to block (and unblock, if we change our minds) particular people who we find objectionable or just no longer want any communication from" or do not want to have snooping around our profile pages "has become a basic right and expectation on social and cause networks. [ALL of] these should be available options on Change,org. Also there should be a standard way to report objectionable activity that violates the terms and conditions of Change.org."

THEREFORE, WE THE UNDERSIGNED RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT:  

1.  WE BE PROVIDED WITH THE OPTION TO BLOCK AND UNBLOCK OUR PROFILE PAGES FROM BEING SEEN BY SPECIFIC PEOPLE,  AS WE CHOOSE FOR OUR OWN PROTECTION,  WHILE STILL LEAVING THEM OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

2.  WE BE PROVIDED WITH THE OPTION TO BLOCK AND UNBLOCK FROM PUBLIC VIEW THE PEOPLE WHO RECRUIT US TO TAKE ACTIONS.  

3.  WE BE PROVIDED WITH A CHANNEL SPECIFICALLY FOR REPORTING THOSE WHO DO NOT ABIDE BY THE RULES OF FAIR PLAY.  

Choosing our boundaries, clearly stating what they are, respecting the boundaries of others .... these are some of the things that productive peace is made of.  
If our only choice for profile blocking on this site is between ALL OR NOTHING, we cannot set practical boundaries to protect ourselves and still be able to NETWORK for COOPERATIVE activist work on change.org as we see fit for the needs and purposes of beneficial change.
