I never had him for my classes but I know Dr. Frank to be a very down-to-Earth person, who is a friend to everyone. Not many people leave an impact of this nature, and Dr. Franm receives my full support to remain in Macquarie University.

Universities should be places of learning, not money-making institutions and in order to have quality education, we need quality teachers.

I think this fight by students is a really important development and expresses the willingness of students to defend jobs and fight for a high quality education. You can read an important article about this at https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2021/06/29/macq-j29.html

Frank is a very enthusiastic teacher and he is very selfless with his time. One week, he stayed back for half an hour answering my questions, and the next week, 1 hour.

I have benefited from Frank's outstanding work at Macquarie Uni, he was very supportive long after I finished his courses at Macquarie. It will be a great loss to the uni.

Frank was one of the few lecturers who could answer my questions for any maths course I asked him about.
He would always make the time for me, and would be patient and clear with his explanations.
My opinion is if Macquarie was to lose such as strong academic, it would be a massive loss to many current and future students studying Mathematics.

Frank is one of the very few professors at Macquarie who can actually teach, enjoy teaching and make a subject interesting. I absolutely loved his lectures when I first came to Macquarie. Having studied in Europe as well, I was very impressed with the teachers I encountered there, their enthusiasm, their love of the subject and their eagerness to pass on the knowledge. I miss that at Macquarie and Frank is one of the very few who raised the standard.
It is disheartening to know that the University would so easily discard one of its best lecturers without consideration to the detrimental effect this action will have on the quality of teaching students receive.

Great teaching staff in maths are a matter of survival for students in STEM. Those who want to stay in the profession and are held in high esteem by students should be protected.

Exceptional university are made up of committed lecturers , student engagement with better tutorials and student learning outcomes and high levels of student knowledge on graduating. To forced redundancy is not a solution, to lose quality lecturers who encourages student engagement in tutorials is definitely wrong. Find another option and keep excellence in universities and the stand out employees, who make that difference. Think outside the square, demand government funded university, as many politicians in parliament today have had fee free university education, while students today are forced to pay huge fees, and will struggle to buy a home due to debt accumulated to graduate in selected employment fields, this isn’t democracy.
