It is known that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is a highly contagious epidemic disease and has caused over 90,000 confirmed cases and 3,000 death. By 5/3/2020, there have been 116 confirmed cases in the UK and some of them are near the campus of Imperial College London.

The coronavirus is highly infectious and has a long incubation period, which means that one carrier can infect dozens of people before a diagnosis is made. This virus can spread through droplets, aerosols, and contact, which means that public places like tubes, classrooms and pubs are all great places for virus transmission.

What we can do now is avoiding gatherings so that the virus will not spread from person to person.  If you also want permission to stop on-site teaching and learning activities and study online instead, please sign this petition, and your voice could be heard by the ICL community.

Thank you!
