Changemakers PH started this petition to Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)

We, Changemakers PH, feel the necessity of suspending the conduct of the Licensure Examination for Teachers or LET amidst the COVID-19 outbreak and in view of the issuance of Proclamation No. 922 declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines.

LET is the most subscribed board exam in the country with more or less 150,000 examiness for the March 29, 2020 exam. Most of the examinees are in Metro Manila where the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continuous to rise.

Thus, it is necessary to suspend the LET as a preemptive health measure to mitigate the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and to support the government in undertaking appropriate response to curtail and eliminate the COVID-19 threat.

We call on the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to issue an immediate suspension of LET to protect and serve the best interest of our teachers and the general public.
