Anthony Taylor is a professional english referee. In 2010, he became a Premier League referee. In 2015, he officiated the Football League Cup final where Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0. In 2017 & 2020 he officiated the FA Cup finals, both of which Arsenal won 2 - 1 against Chelsea.

On May 28th, 2017, the FA Cup final kicked-off in Wembley Stadium. Alexis Sanchez had scored, but the linesman had said that he was offside. Gary Cahil & David Luiz (left to join Arsenal in summer 2019) and other Chelsea players had also appealed for offside. Anthony Taylor had to talk to some of the other officials, but still allowed Alexis Sánchez to claim the goal, without even talking to the linesman. 68 minutes later, Victor Moses dribbles the ball into the Arsenal penalty area and is thrown of his balance by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. While this is no penalty, but there is no need for a second yellow card as per there is a slight bit of contace between the two players,

Two years later on August 1st, 2020, he was the first referee in 119 years to fixate another FA Cup final. Mateo Kovačić had made a tackle on Granit Xhaka to stop him. The Croatian does so perfectly & gets the ball, but gets sent off.

Around twenty miuntes later Chlesea's midfield shoots the ball into the Arsenal penalty area, but the latter's goalkeeper catches the ball outside the box. Anthony Taylor does not even consult the Video Assistant Referee, and no free-kick is given to Chelsea. Chelsea keep up the counter attack with Pedro Rodríguez as he dribbles into the half-circle but gets injured by Martinez. Again Anthony Taylor does not even think about giving a free-kick.

Anthony Taylor has had history with abysmal refereeing, which hurts modern-day football (Europe), in professional big games and today's FA Cup final just proved that he is no longer fit to officiate Premier League, FA Cup, or UEFA Champions and Europa League games.
