I thank you very much for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts on burning issues of Our country and aam aadmi, which need immediate attention for the country to achieve progress and fulfill the aspirations and dream of Our family. I have discussed and made following suggestions as per my understanding in my own language. You being a professional and experienced leader in this field, you may make necessary corrections and changes and incorporate them in the Manifesto, if found appropriate. I love my India. I love my people.
1. HUNGER FREE INDIA
We have to pledge that our country becomes hunger free shortly. After spending Rs.1.57 lakh crores a year, there are still our 19 crore family members sleeping everyday without having two time meal. Government with the help of NGOs and volunteers can provide food for all. We just need coordination of our efforts. Some missing links, and dots are to be connected.
2. NIGHT SHELTERS
It should be ensured that there is enough provision for night shelters for our homeless family members in cities, towns and villages. The women and children must be provided Z plus security and safety in those night shelters.
3. PROTECTION TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN AGAINST CRIME AND VIOLENCE.
Women and children must get the help and support to file FIR, when they become victims of crime and violence. There should be special courts to deal with such offences within a fixed period.
4. PRIVATIZATION OF HANDLING OF ECONOMIC OFFENCES.
All economic offences and scams should be handed over to private professional agencies right from FIRs to judgement and jails. The work of police, judges and jailers should be privatized. It will help to reduce the workload of these departments and they can concentrate exclusively on criminal offences to speed up the process of justice.
5. PROTECTION TO WITNESSES
In most of the criminal cases due to lake of evidence, the criminals have to be freed and victims feel that they have been denied justice. Therefore complete security must be provided to evidences and witnesses, particularly, in high profile cases so that criminals are punished, which can set an example. RTI activists and those who expressed their views should also be fully protected. The different and opposite views should be well respected and there should not be selective and coercive approach towards such views.
6. ATMOSPHERE OF FEAR FOR CRIMINALS AND FREEDOM FOR VICTIMS.
The strict enforcement of law and order and focus on crime against women and children should be vigorous to create fear among criminals and a sense of freedom and confidence among victims
7. PEACE PROCESS WITH NEIGHBORS.
All avenues for peace process with neighbors should be explored so that precious life of our young Javans can be saved.
8. EXPORT OR PERISH
There must be war like approach for export thrust. It is must for growth and employment.
The foreign exchange rates should be manipulated to gradually weaken the rupee to make our exports competitive. There should be focus on mass employment generating labour intensive textile, automobiles& good processing and building materials industries. It will also reduce distress in the farm sector.
9. SELF RELIANCE ON HYDROCABON
The hydrocarbon sector should be free for exploration. Instead of periodic and peace meal auctions of the fields, there should be transparent and just system for exploration on an ongoing basis.
10. NON ELIGIBILITY FOR CRIMINALS AS ELECTION CANDIDATES
Where an FIR is filed against a person, he/she should not be eligible to fight an election.
11. DETAILED INVESTIGATION OF SHELL COMPANIES WHICH ARE DEREGISTERED
About 4+ Lakh shell companies have been deregistered. Most of these companies had maids, drivers and cooks of the promoters as directors. Their signature were forged. These companies were involved in illicit businesses like money laundering, smuggling, benami transactions, insider trading, etc. They were involved in criminal activities. By deregistration, the concerned promoters got amnesty and freed without any punishment. Further the companies also defaulted on payment of Government taxes like income tax, excise, customs, GST etc. Government lost thousands of crores on this account. Moreover they were required to pay return filing fees, interest and penalties for late filing. ROC lost thousands of crores. An enquiry should be conducted by a committee of retired judges to find out the severity of offences, its impact and loss to the exchequer and those who were criminal offenders must be behind punished. Nation has right to know the truth in this regard.
12. DEVLOPEMENT OF TOURISM.
Tourism is a big employment generator. Beach tourism, religious, medical, heritage and fun tourism should be fully tax exempt.
13. KASHMIR TOURISM
Special focus to tourism development in Kashmir should be given. There should be free land and free tourism zones exclusively for international hotel and resort chains. Foreign investors should be given exclusive and red carpet treatment in Kashmir.
14. ABOLITION OF ALL TAXES FOR FIVE YEARS FOR 90% OF THE POPULATION
India’s 1% population controls 58% of the wealth. Therefore taxing 10% of the population with other taxes and more collection from wealth tax will be more than enough to fund our social welfare schemes, development expenditure and all other Government expenditure. Billionaires are reluctant to part with their wealth for poor because they want to keep it for SAT PEDHI. लगता है की पुंजीपतिओ को मार मार कर ही दानेश्वर बनाने पडेंगे।
There should be zero income tax, GST, customs and other taxes for 90% of the population for five years. It will make the economy white for 90% of the population. Only sin tax on cigarettes and alcohol can be levied.
15. LIBERAL VDIS.
A liberal voluntary disclosure of income scheme in line with the one introduced in Indonesia, should be introduced. Indonesia is one fifth in population and GDP size. But it could unearth US$300 billion worth of black money.
16. PEOPLE FRIENDLY GOVERNMENT
There should be people friendly approach by the Government in implementing schemes like Aadhar, Jandhan, demonatisation etc. as majority of our people are illiterate and poor. It takes time for them to understand such schemes and there are chances of frauds and harassment. There should not be cohesive system and actions.
17. INSURANCE FOR DIGITAL TRANSACTIONS
When ATM/Debit/credit cards and digital payment methods are used, there are always chances of frauds. In such cases advisory circulars by RBI or police are of no use. Customers must be insured by the institutions and Governments and entire loss must be companseted.
18. PRIVATIZATION OF PUBLIC S CTOR BANKING AND INSURANCE
Before next round of recapitalization happens these institutions should be privatized at the earliest opportunity. Corporates should be asked to raise debt above Rs.100 crores by way of public issue of debentures, which have to be listed. No bank funding.
19. FOREST DEVLOPMENT
Forest development has tremendous opportunities for generating employment, creation of national wealth, tourism and environmental protection.
Of course the suggestions are many. For the purpose of reducing the length of the post, I have not been able to explain in detail all the issues. If you need any further information, please feel free to write to me.
I am very optimistic about the future of India. Yes we can. हम होंगे कामयाब एक दिन। मन में है विश्वास पुरा है विश्वास।
