We are looking to improve the quality of prisons in the state of Colorado. Historically prisons and jails treat the inmates very harshly and the inmates are not met with necessities. If we improve the facilities it could help tens of thousands of people that are incarcerated in Colorado. Previously there had been a lawsuit from 11 inmates at ADX Supermax prison in Florence, CO that was directed towards the Bureau of Prisons. The inmates there have been known to scream, wail, and bang on the walls. Some inflict harm onto their own bodies. ADX is known as one of the toughest prisons in the United States of America. This is also happening in many other jails and prisons across the state. We can improve terrible conditions so that the inmates are not in constant pain; the guards can treat the inmates better and the inmates can be provided with and health and medical needs while inside of the prison.
