We are candidates of Express Entry for Canadian Permanent Residency (Federal Skilled Workers and Provincial Nominee Applicants) with AOR August 2021 and later whose applications have been stuck at CIO, Ottawa and Edmonton visa offices with REVIEW REQUIRED status and have not been worked on since January/February 2022.

This petition is an appeal to the relevant authorities to encourage these Visa Officers to start processing the outland applications. The delay is extremely worrisome  for the applicants who have been patiently waiting to receive their approvals. By comparison, other visa offices such as Vancouver and Montréal are processing applications with Review Required status and are issuing passport requests for July/August 2021 onwards.

Please understand that we have spent so much time, and money and have been nothing but patient so far just to start a new life in Canada putting our current lives completely at halt, but the constant delay at every stage in the process is something that is severely affecting the applicants mental health.

Moreover, applicants who submitted their aplications with AOR as late as January 2022 are receiving passport requests and it's just so unfair, stressful and disturbing mentally not knowing as to why REVIEW REQUIRED files are not being prioritized and finalized. 

Most of the applicants who received their GCMS notes clearly mentions that the files are ready for finalization upon review of a Senior officer. 

Therefore we strongly appeal that 2021 applications August onwards Review Required files must be prioritized and finalised at the earliest.
