Students of Schalick High School started this petition to Principal Yvette DuBois-Trembley

Our goal is to implement changes to the dresscode at Arthur P. Schalick High School that ensures ALL students are treated fairly.

We would like to make the following changes:

-Allow ALL students to wear leggings during the regular school day AND gym, but if they're see through it can be considered violating the dresscode

-Allow ALL student to wear ripped jeans with holes wherever they choose, as long as undergarments aren't exposed

-Allow ALL students to wear shorts as short as they please, as long as you cannot see any parts of the butt, which can be considered violating the dresscode

-Allow ALL students to expose bra straps on their shoulders, as females specifically are expected to wear them everywhere they go

-Allow ALL students to wear "spaghetti strap" tank tops, as the only difference between a regular tank top and a spaghetti strap one is the amount of shoulder that is shown

-Allow ALL students to wear cropped shirts that expose the belly button, but any higher can be considered a violation of the dresscode

-Allow ALL students to wear sweatpants for gym as long as they comply with the color of the dresscode (yellow, green, black)

I hope you can help us achieve our goal of changing our dresscode so it can be fair to everyone by signing this petition and leaving your own personal comments. Every signature counts and we need as much help as we can get! Thank you!
