As per the Mumbai University guidelines, dated 05th of March, 2022; suggest that Mumbai University exams for Final Year students in traditional courses are expected to be held online, unlike other papers. A report in TOI on Mumbai University Exams suggests that while these final semester exams of traditional courses will be held online, the practical exams for these students are expected to be held in offline mode.
Still, K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, an Autonomous college, affiliated with Mumbai University has almost fixed to conduct the exam in an Offline manner, which goes against the recent guidelines of the governing body.

Without a doubt, traditional OFFLINE EXAMS are more important than MCQs, but at this current point of time, when exams are announced to commence from 21st of March, 2022; preparation for OFFLINE exams isn't possible for students in all ways. Some students are yet to be relocated in the city, some students are still under financial crisis, some students are still under other mental stress, and putting them into attempting an OFFLINE paper will do nothing but add more of the mental stress on students. Also, compared to the ranks in previous semesters, Semester 6, which is considered as the most important exam in degree college life, will see a drastic fall in grades and percentages and it will also affect students' future job opportunities. (Imagine going for an interview, where they will see marks of Semester 1-5 as 90%, and marks of Semester 6 alone is less than 60%!)

Considering all these points, either the exams should be FULLY ONLINE, or the college should give students a handsome amount of time (eg. 1 month) to prepare well for OFFLINE EXAMS. But most preferred, ONLINE Exams will be considered as the need of the hour, keeping in mind the recent guidelines of Mumbai University, the supreme body.
