Undoubtedly, nearly every person who has ever had a period has experienced the horrors of forgetting a pad, tampon, or other menstrual product. In fact, over 1.9 billion people experience a period; however, it is estimated that around 500 million do not practice adequate menstrual hygiene. Fortunately, we can promote proper period health for Rockvale High School's students!

On behalf of the student body, we are requesting a "Take What You Need, Leave What You Can" bin in every female restroom of Rockvale High School. Students can leave a pad/tampon if they have extra, or grab one if they need it. Accompanying the bin, there will be printed or written articles on how to use a tampon safely and how to recognize/prevent TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome, a disease most often associated with tampon use).

These bins will be free of charge to the school itself. They are provided by students, for students. We know this is necessary because of the obvious fact that roughly half of Rockvale High's population menstruates. Some of these Rockets might not be able to afford period products, or might just forget to bring them on an unlucky day. 

Once we achieve 125 legitimate signatures, this suggestion will be proposed to Principal Luker. Go rockets! #RocketsUp ���
