Parents of Cien Aguas students,

On January 26th, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham stated,
“We will get this right, and we will move forward, and every school district in the state will be able to welcome all ages of students safely back to the classroom on February 8." She referred to the plan that was released late last summer and schools and administrators have been working to prepare for reopening for the past seven months. In addition to her statement the director of the CDC also stated on February 3rd, "Vaccinations of teachers is not a prerequisite for safely reopening schools."

Thankfully, Senor Benavidez also mentioned during the last PTA meeting on January 25th that he had been working to have everything ready but still lacked the fire marshall inspection and approval from the governor which had not yet occurred.

Given all of this information, it seems appropriate to proceed with the original plan that has been in the works for the past 7 months and allow students to return to in person learning even if it is only for two days per week.

Please sign the petition below if you are in agreement with beginning in person learning.

Thank you,

Vanessa Peralta
