Title IX is not the problem. Princeton is.

In support of the current protests in favor of reforming Title IX procedures at Princeton, we are asking you to please join us as we pledge to NOT participate in Annual Giving to the University until our demands are met. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Information on our Demands:

Princeton University needs to do more to prevent sexual violence and support survivors. In 2014, Princeton University was found to be inadequately implementing Title IX procedures by the Department of Justice. It is unacceptable that after this indictment the University’s Title IX system remains broken. Individually, we have tried to pursue reform through bureaucratic processes and meetings with various administrators. This has not worked. The University has shown greater concern for its property and reputation than survivors’ pain. Survivors’ voices have been marginalized for too long, and their moment to be heard is long past due. We demand more.

We are a coalition of Princeton students seeking to reform Title IX policies at our school through a series of demands on the University.

This statement outlines concrete actionable calls for reform that can and should be met urgently.

"We, the students and alumni of Princeton University, pledge to NOT participate in Annual Giving to the University until our demands concerning Title IX Reform have been met."
