I was recently admitted into a general hospital after I had tried to take my own life. The doctors and nurses saved me physically, but mentally it was a whole other story. I was treated to the level of that of a criminal being restrained and injected multiple times a day, unable to go outside. And being handled by people who had no perception on my pervious traumas or fragile mental state. Nurses, doctors even security guards in these facility’s need to be trained in how to handle a patient who is undergoing crisis instead of being uncooperative and dismissive of your thoughts and feelings.  And ultimately leading you to want to take your own life even more. Currently as good as their intentions may be the majority of people in the healthcare sector have had no training on how to handle and help a patient with a mental illness. This needs to change. So please help me and thousands of others who are suffering due to miss treatment in nhs hospitals. Help us make a change.
