Stray cattle has become one of the biggest challenges in Uttar Pradesh. Though the government allocated Rs 247.6 crore in FY19 for gaushalas in rural areas and another Rs 200 crore for Kanha gaushalas, most of these are packed beyond capacity, and the state needs more infrastructure and workforce to deal with the problem. Although slaughter houses are officially banned in Uttar Pradesh, but multiple times there have been contradicting news. There are claims that people from Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan are leaving their cattle in Uttar Pradesh, once there work efficiencies fall down. This has led to multiple issues like high population of cattle in agricultural areas which hampers the output for farmers. In the cities, accidents or road blocks due to cattle are increasing. 

Let's sign a petition to request the UP Government to take drastic steps & regulations regarding either building more goushalas or stringent rules about cattle from other states being left in Uttar Pradesh. Together, we can make a difference!!
