NB Marcks started this petition to The Prime Minister Boris Johnson (Downing Street)

Say thank you to every NHS worker by planting a tree in their name across the U.K. We already have the trees waiting to be planted and paid for, promised by the Prime Minister. We can all get together, children, families, individuals, schools, clubs and workplaces all over the country to get out there, dig up some earth, learn a bit about nature and most of all, celebrate this incredible service by saying thanks with an act of kindness, planting something positive in everyones name. Each tree given coordinates on a database so staff know where their tree is planted. Areas of seating in remembrance for those who have sadly lost their lives trying to save ours will bring a peaceful place for everyone. A new forest or woodland could be named after the NHS ( possibly Bevan after the man who got the paper though when the NHS began 72 years ago on the 5th July) and the whole of the U.K. will have beautiful spaces full of gratitude for these wonderful people who have given us all so much of themselves through this crisis. Trees are the lungs of our planet so a fitting tribute by planting our trees in NHS staff names is a fantastic way to bring all our communities together to say a big thank you to the amazing NHS. So how about it UK ?
