Grant Professional Snooker player Hossein Vafaei a Visa for the UK

This petition had 274 supporters

Hossein Vafaei is a Professional Snooker player from Iran. He is currently 20 years old at the time of writing and is considered one of the greatest snooker prospects to ever come out of Asia, where the sport is currently thriving. In 2011 he won the 2011 IBSF World Amateur Championship and most recently he won the World Under-21 Championship for the second time. For his win in 2011, Hossein was awarded a spot on the professional tour but due to circumstances outside of his control, he was unable to obtain a visa for the United Kingdom.

Hossien has applied a total of three times for a British Visa and each time he has been rejected because of circumstances beyond his control. He is a potential World Champion and many in the Middle East & Ireland who have seen him play already view him ready to be ranked a top 16 player.

With your help we can highlight this travesty to the British Goverment and hopefully get Hossein where he belongs, on the professional tour. Here is the link for the maximum 147 break that he made while he was in Ireland last year.

From Hossein and his team,

Thank You
