I believe that while traditions are important to some, they are not for all. Individuals should be able to practice traditions if they so choose and refrain from practicing them if that is their choice. Please empower the women of Nagaland with the choice to do as they please. Some will continue to stay the home and others will choose a new path. They should not be denied.

Because for so long women's voices have been neglected, non existent in any deciding body! It's an absolutist men's world. Time to change that. Because patriarchy can kiss my naga ass.

India was born out of a struggle against discrimination and an important member of the United Nations and should lead upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Indian states like Nagaland need to be non discrimatory in promoting the right of all citizens. Democratic representation by half the population is a human right.
