Why this petition matters

Dear Residents of Greater Noida (West) and friends,

The people who have really made history are the martyrs.” - Aleister Crowley

Martyr Major Rohit Kumar is a Braveheart who laid his life in a helicopter crash in  the line of duty along with his co-pilot Major Anuj Rajput on September 21, 2021 in J&K.

Major Rohit Kumar who belonged to Jammu was settled  in Ace City, Greater Noida (West) since 2017 with his family. He is survived by his elderly parents, sister, wife and a little 3 year old daughter who will only have a few memories of her father to last for a lifetime. The family still resides in Ace City.

He was the third generation in the Indian Army from his family. He was a highly qualified Helicopter Pilot with vast experience in executing military operations  all across the country.

Although we can never fully repay the debt of the martyrs, no amount of respect by us is enough for their supreme sacrifice.

But, as a gesture of respect and gratitude, it is proposed that the roundabout in front of Ace City Society shall be named after him.

It will be a token of respect and recognition from the authorities and residents of Greater Noida (west) to Major Rohit Kumar as well as our soldiers guarding our borders. It will also motivate our future generations to contribute towards the progress of the nation.

You all are therefore requested to show solidarity and do your bit towards this honourable cause. Your signatures in this online petition will incredibly support the endeavour of the residents of Greater Noida (west) in providing due respect to the  Major Rohit Kumar.

We are thankful to our honourable MLA Shri Tejpal Singh Nagar Ji who has firmly supported our cause and had announced the same in Ace City premises.

We, the residents of Greater Noida (west) shall together raise our voices through this petition to bring the matter to the notice of Shri Mahesh Sharma Ji Honourable Lok Sabha MP from Gautam Buddh Nagar.

This petition will also be forwarded to Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, our Honourable Chief Minister to make him aware of our aspirations and seek support for the same.

We will also copy PMO for their information and needful action. We are hopeful for solidarity of our Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji, who leads by example for his respect and gratitude towards the Indian Armed Forces.
